Question Mining tunnels collapsing

I do understand little bit of why the tunnels last for a day but all the rocks what i dig up from there will be all over the place.
is there any progress on making it better and maybe for the tunnels to last longer than one day.
just to get copper and iron will not be a big issue in one day just there will be a lot of rocks what maybe will be used later.

Its not a big problem ! its more like a question why is it like that and do you have a plan to change it somehow.
